They also toned done some of the book&#8217;s more explicit religious content, trying to make the film version more of a traditional thriller.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hmm. I wonder why he changed it? For political correctness, or to avoid a potential issue like with Jewel of Medina where he is trying to avoid the imagined outrage of muslims? If the latter, I am severely disappointed &#8211; treating the muslim community mainstream like crybabies only encourages that vocal minority within it who actually are.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, I think I need to read the book now (and am frankly much less interested in the movie now, too)<\/p>\n<p>Related &#8211;
