I am a huge fan of the China Rises blog<\/a> written by Tim Johnson, Beijing bureau chief for McClatchy Newspapers. Johnson has a great catch about how Chinese censors reacted<\/a> to the following paragraph in Obama’s speech:<\/p>\n

“Recall that earlier generations faced down communism and fascism not
\njust with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring
\nconvictions. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit
\nand the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of
\nhistory but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench
