I posted President Obama’s inauguration speech video<\/a> and transcript<\/a> earlier, but I just want to highlight the part where he directly addressed the muslim world:<\/p>\n

We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and
\nnonbelievers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from
\nevery end of this Earth.<\/p>\n

And because we have tasted the bitter
\nswill of civil war and segregation and emerged from that dark chapter
\nstronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old
\nhatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon
\ndissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall
\nreveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new
\nera of peace.<\/p>\n

 To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect.<\/p>\n

To
\nthose leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict or blame their
\nsociety’s ills on the West, know that your people will judge you on
\nwhat you can build, not what you destroy.<\/p>\n

To those who cling to
\npower through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know
\nthat you are on the wrong side of history, but that we will extend a
