Grand Canyon University men\u2019s basketball forward Gabe McGlothan is on fire for Christ. The athlete uses his social media to boldly and confidently share his faith with anyone who follows him. He\u2019s shared several photos on the day of his baptism, calling it \u201cthe best accomplishment I will ever have.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also posted Matthew 6:19-21, which reads, \u201cDo not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.\u00a0But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

McGlothan explained what that means in his life. He wrote, \u201cThe way you store up treasures in heaven is by investing in the people around you. Don\u2019t stop becoming rich in making believers in Christ. Growing up, before I had my faith, I always imagined if I were on a deserted island. What I would rather have with me? All the materialistic things I could ever imagine or a simple friend. I knew one I could last a lifetime with, a friend, and the other I\u2019d get bored of eventually, the materialistic. Investing in my brothers is the best thing I\u2019ve ever done.\u201d<\/p>\n
