The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is celebrating God\u2019s movement during its Fields of Faith(FOF) event at Lakeside High School Stadium in Hot Springs, AR, on October 11. Micah May, multi-area director for FCA South Central Arkansas, reported that over 3,000 people, mainly students, attended the event. He credited God for the event\u2019s success. \u201cWe believe God goes before us as we prepare for an event like FOF. We run a social media campaign, hang posters at every campus, and distribute promotional T-shirts through our local FCA huddles on each campus. We have generous sponsors who underwrite the event so that the event is completely free for students to attend. Ultimately, it comes down to friends inviting friends. They influence each other. FCA simply provides the venue, food, and band,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

FOF is not a new event to Hot Springs, this being the 17th year of the event, yet there was something special about this particular FOF in light of the recent revival that occurred at <\/span>Asbury earlier this year.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Many students from Arkansas went up to Asbury to experience the revival there, with many believing that Arkansas was ready\u00a0<\/span>to receive revival too<\/span><\/a>. At the time of the Asbury revival, Bill Elliff, Founding and National Engage Pastor at Summit Church in Little Rock, AR, said he was praying for revival to hit his state. \u201cWe have cried out for 25 years\u2026 A quarter of a decade\u2026that God would send something like this to our city to central Arkansas, and I believe we are going to see it,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

May stated he believed this recent event in Hot Springs might be part of a greater spiritual awakening in the US. \u201cThere is a spirit of revival stirring in our world,\u201d he said. \u201cGod is on the move, and we are honored to be a small part of what He is doing. To God be all the glory.\u201d The event featured a pre-rally with free food provided by the generous sponsors May mentioned. The event also isn\u2019t exclusive to a specific branch of Christianity. <\/span>Fields of Faith<\/span><\/a>\u00a0presents itself as a student-led interdenominational event where \u201cStudents invite, pray for, share with, and challenge their peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ.\u201d \u201cTruly, there was an unmistakable move of the Holy Spirit,\u201d May said of the event. \u201cHundreds of students prayed seeking the Lord, God was present, and lives were changed.
