It’s amazing to see miracles can still happen even in modern society. This was the case with 13-year-old Trenton McKinley of Mobile, Alabama after he suffering severe brain trauma from a dune buggy accident.<\/p>\n

McKinley was playing at a friend’s house two months ago riding in a small utility trailer being pulled by a dune buggy for kids. The trailer flipped after the driver pressed on the breaks suddenly. It quickly threw his friend’s four-year-old niece of into the grass, but in the process McKinely got caught in the trailer as it flipped.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hit the concrete and the trailer landed on top of my head. After that, I don’t remember anything,” said McKinely.<\/p>\n

Doctors said the fate of the boy was grim due to having seven skull fractures. He was given immediate medical treatment and emergency surgery.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I saw was a stretcher with his feet hanging out. He was dead a total of 15 minutes,\u201d said his mother, Jennifer Reindl, with tears in her eyes. \u201cWhen he came back, they said he would never be normal again. They told me the oxidation {oxygen depravation} problems would be so bad to his brain, that he would be a vegetable if he even made it.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the next few days, McKinely was on life support and barely breathing. After five days of agony, the doctors asked the parents to make a very difficult choice. They signed papers to have his organs donated.<\/p>\n

“Five kids needed organs that matched him,\u201d Reindl recalled. \u201cIt was unfair to keep bringing him back, because it was just damaging his organs even more.”<\/p>\n

However, God wasn’t ready to let McKinely go just yet.<\/p>\n

A day before McKinely was to be taken off life support, he began showing remarkable signs of recovery.<\/p>\n

“I was in an open field walking straight,\u201d McKinely said. “There’s no other explanation but God. There’s no other way. Even doctors said it.”<\/p>\n

Slowly, McKinely began to make strides that were blowing the minds of his entire medical team. He miraculously woke back up. He’s still got a long road ahead of him to recovery though. He’s lost 50 pounds, and deals with nerve pain and seizures daily. Despite all that, this kid’s still got a great sense of humor.<\/p>\n

“I said I could turn sideways and put salsa in there and eat chips and dip out of my head. No more washing dishes for me!\u201d laughed Trenton as he referred to the dent in his head. \u201cShe wouldn’t let me put nothing in it though. I really wanted to see if I could.”<\/p>\n

When seeing how the young boy acts, you would never believe that he’s been through three brain surgeries. It’s a miracle that God was able to bring this amazing boy back to life.<\/p>\n
