Actor Nathaniel Buzolic took to Instagram<\/a> to discuss how the Gospel is \u201coffensive.\u201d Buzolic\u2019s post featured an image of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus is said to have walked on water and called Andrew and Peter to be disciples, as described in Matthew 14:22-33 and Matthew 4:18-22 respectively. Posted across the image were the words, \u201cThe Gospel is not about including everybody. The Gospel is about inviting everybody.\u201d Buzolic added his own take to the post, writing, \u201cThe gospel is only offensive to those who didn\u2019t want to live under God\u2019s sovereignty. Many are called. Few are chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buzolic often takes to social<\/a> media to express his faith. Earlier this month, he discussed the split between those who believe and those who don\u2019t. \u201cWe as Christians have an opportunity today to join the angels of God and proclaim the King of Kings and the Holy one of Israel – Jesus the messiah,\u201d wrote<\/a> Buzolic. \u201cDon\u2019t lose your chance to honor the LORD. What Jesus gave up was a gift you didn\u2019t deserve to gain but have been given as an invitation. This is the gospel. The beautiful grace of God who loved so deeply that man to this day struggles to believe an almighty God would do such a humble thing and dwell among us. But He did,\u201d he went on to write. He praised God for being \u201cworthy of worship\u201d and \u201cThe cross is foolish to those who don\u2019t understand divine love – but to those who do – we will stand in awe and wonder for all of our days.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buzolic had previously appeared on the show \u201cThe Vampire Diaries\u201d and had a role in the movie \u201cHacksaw Ridge.\u201d He now spends much of his time sharing his faith and advocating for Israel. He encourages his followers to make trips to the Promised Land and see the Biblical places for themselves. Teaming up with Rabbi Jason Sobel<\/a> to share about God\u2019s promises, Buzolic was taken aback by the amazing timing of God\u2019s reestablishing Israel as a country. \u201cAnd so even thinking about [Israel\u2019s] reestablishment, 1948 \u2014 now correct me if I\u2019m wrong, but according to the Jewish belief, Abraham was born 1,948 years after the creation. So, God reestablishes this nation not by some chance, not by coincidence, but by the fact that He\u2019s saying, \u2018My story, my timing is still in point. Do you believe? Do you trust me?\u2019\u201d he shared, noting the way God is always working behind the scenes. \u201cAnd I think for us as Christians, people could have questioned God\u2019s promises. For 2,000 years, we could have said, \u2018Does He really keep His promises? Because He didn\u2019t keep His promise to the Jewish people in Israel,\u2019\u201d the actor continued. \u201cAnd yet, in 2023, He is a promise-keeper. If I can trust those promises, how much more can I trust the words of Jesus today?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
