Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner says she\u2019s witnessed \u201cliteral miracles\u201d and is on a \u201cdivine assignment\u201d from the Lord to tell others what she has seen and heard.<\/p>\n

Faulkner was born into a Christian home in October of 1965, where, at a very young age, her mother knew she had more than just a knack for talking. She had a gift, and it has served her for as long as she can remember, even leading her to think she had a future in litigation at one point.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy parents were very strong in their faith,\u201d Faulkner said. \u201c[M]y father was at war more than once; he was a combat pilot in Vietnam, two tours. It was my mom and me for a while when I was little. And as young as I can remember \u2014 probably about two, maybe three \u2014\u00a0mom taught me how to pray.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulkner\u2019s mom instilled in her young daughter a deep-seated gratitude, teaching her to praise God \u201cover anything that gives you sustenance, whether it\u2019s your food, the people in your life who love you and support you\u201d and to do so \u201cwithout ceasing,\u201d as the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.<\/p>\n

At around six years old, Faulkner knew she had the \u201cgift of gab\u201d and needed to figure out two things: How to use it and make sure she constantly thanked God for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to my mom, I never stopped talking,\u201d Faulkner said cheekily. \u201c[My mother] would tell me specifically \u2014 even more than my father \u2014 \u2018there\u2019s something about the way that you speak that\u2019s tied to God\u2019s gift. I don\u2019t know what it is, but when you speak, people listen, even at your little age.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulkner reflected on it, too, noting she noticed in herself an \u201cability\u201d to tell stories \u201cin a really compelling way.\u201d \u201cMany people thought as I got older, \u2018You\u2019re gonna make a great attorney,\u2019 so I took the LSAT, and I thought that\u2019s what I wanted to do,\u201d she said. \u201cBut it wasn\u2019t. They talk a lot, too. But what [my gift] was tied to was giving a voice to people who didn\u2019t think they were being heard. And it\u2019s ironic now, with all the politics going on, I feel like there\u2019s even a bigger calling to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
