Outspoken Christian and Hollywood actress Candace Cameron Bure has recently been the target of criticism by others in the entertainment industry on social media but has responded by assuring fans that the Lord is her defender.<\/p>\n

Artist Jojo Siwa caused a media storm last month, calling Bure the \u201crudest celebrity\u201d she had met. Bure responded with kindness and forgiveness.<\/p>\n

Last week, the husband of actress Hillary Duff, indie rocker Matthew Koma, slammed the \u201cFuller House\u201d actress for recently\u00a0posting a video<\/a>\u00a0of herself dancing to Bruce Springsteen\u2019s \u201cBorn In The U.S.A\u201d in celebration of the fourth of July.<\/p>\n

Koma sarcastically said to Bure\u2019s patriotic celebration, \u201cYeah, the song you\u2019re playing? It\u2019s about veterans coming home from Vietnam and being treated like s\u2014. Yeah, it\u2019s not about, it\u2019s not the Fourth of July.\u201d\u00a0Siwa and Koma\u2019s videos have amassed over 5 million views, and Bure\u2019s name has flooded news headlines.<\/p>\n

Following Koma\u2019s viral video, Bure took to her\u00a0Instagram story<\/a>\u00a0to share a scripture she is standing on amid the media firestorm. She declared while reading Isaiah 12:2, \u201cThe Lord is my salvation. I will trust Him and not be afraid, for He alone is my strength and my defender,\u201d emphasizing, \u201cHe has become my salvation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The negative comments caught Bure\u2019s attention, so she reached out to the young star Siwa, who recently became an outspoken lesbian. Bure shared the exchange via an\u00a0Instagram video<\/a>\u00a0last week and said she asked why Siwa felt that Bure was the \u201crudest celebrity.\u201d Siwa reportedly explained that when she was 11 years old, she met Bure on a red carpet and asked for a photo, to which Bure reportedly responded, \u201cnot right now.\u201d However, the actress allegedly proceeded to take pictures with others.\u00a0 That moment stuck with Siwa.<\/p>\n

Bure said she apologized. \u201cJojo, I\u2019m so sorry,\u201d she recalled. \u201cPlease know, especially as a mom, it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way.\u201d<\/p>\n
