But at the same time, he&#8217;s being compelled by God. He went into Ukraine, but that wasn&#8217;t his goal. His goal was to move against Israel, ultimately.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The 91-year-old former host of The 700 Club returned to the show to discuss his thoughts on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/christnewstoday\/2022\/02\/amid-russias-invasion-on-ukraine-pastors-stay-to-pray-and-serve.html\">crisis in Ukrain<\/a>e. He believes that Ukraine was merely a stage for one of the &#8216;great biblical armies&#8217; that will march to Armageddon in Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Pat Robertson came out of retirement to claim that Putin &#8220;is being compelled by God&#8221; to invade Ukraine in preparation for a massive End Times invasion of Israel. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Pmwybf57Ay\">pic.twitter.com\/Pmwybf57Ay<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Right Wing Watch (@RightWingWatch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RightWingWatch\/status\/1498410764113256455?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 28, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Robertson has made many predictions in the past. This is the first where he has warned of the end of the world. None of Robertson&#8217;s past predictions ever came to pass, which included a doomsday ending in 1982, catastrophic events in 2007, Trump winning the re-election, which would lead to the end of days. The last prediction was a natural ending like an asteroid hitting earth and not a fulfilled prophecy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Robertson is not the only person to predict the end of days. A poll conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/fact-tank\/2010\/07\/14\/jesus-christs-return-to-earth\/\">Pew Research Center<\/a> revealed that 22 percent of Americans believe that Jesus Christ will return by 2050. Some believe that we are living in the end times. A majority of these people would also point out several biblical signs like wars, famines, earthquakes and false prophets to support their claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Robertson cited passages from the prophet Ezekiel for his claims that point to what Russia is doing in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/christnewstoday\/2022\/02\/ukrainian-christians-struggle-to-get-their-hands-on-bibles-as-war-rages.html\">Ukraine<\/a> as being the precursor for the beginning of the prophecy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, &#8220;Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, &#8216;This is what the Lord God says: Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. So I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them magnificently dressed, a great contingent with shield and buckler, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-Togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops\u2013 many peoples with you.'&#8221; &#8212; Ezekiel 38:1-6<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Robertson then pointed to a map calling the location between Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece as a &#8220;choke point.&#8221; He went on to explain the corresponding biblical names for modern-day countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gomer = Ukraine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Rosh = Russia<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Magog = Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Persia = Iran<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Togarmah and Tubal = Turkey and Syria<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Put = Libya<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cush = North Sudan and Egypt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In closing, Robertson urged viewers to read their Bibles because &#8220;it&#8217;s coming to pass.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;God is getting ready to do
