President-elect Joe Biden has been heavily engaged with meetings with his transition team and making choices about his cabinet picks. Despite this, Biden is still making time to regularly attend St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, where cameras capture him walking in and out of mass with his family.<\/p>\n
While church attendance isn’t always the best measure of someone’s faith, it still signals religiosity. And Biden is showing he is invested in Christ.<\/p>\n
Sometimes, Biden will attend during the week with one or two members of his family. He does so quietly and calmly without the media following. The broader public does not witness what Biden does inside of the church where cameras are not allowed, but that gives him an opportunity to worship privately, calmly, and quietly without politics interfering.<\/p>\n
Biden will be the second Catholic president and has said that his faith helps him navigate the difficult decisions he’s made as a politician. In a victory speech, Joe spoke about the Bible.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Bible tells us that to everything there is a season \u2013 a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal. This is the time to heal in America.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an interview with The Christian Post, Biden also said, \u201cMy Catholic faith drilled into me a core truth \u2013 that every person on earth is equal in rights and dignity because we are all beloved children of God.\u201d<\/p>\n
As president, he added: \u201cThese are the principles that will shape all that I do, and my faith will continue to serve as my anchor, as it has my entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n
