Actor and author Kirk Cameron believes many pastors and Christians could learn a thing or two about courage and conviction from unexpected figures like former President Donald Trump and podcaster Joe Rogan.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Cameron, who sees America as “witnessing the mercy of God” amid political shifts, said pastors should notice Trump’s willingness to speak plainly on cultural and moral issues.<\/p>\n

“He’s got the courage and the backbone to say what pastors should have been saying for decades,” Cameron explained. “Now that he’s able to do that, it reminds me of Cyrus in the Old Testament, where God used someone who wasn’t a believer to shepherd His people in a direction.”<\/p>\n

Cameron clarified that he does not equate Trump with Christian leaders like Billy Graham but admires the former president’s boldness, noting that it has encouraged parents and others to speak up on issues they care about.<\/p>\n

“Every pastor ought to just go like, ‘Oh my goodness \u2026 I’m being schooled by a real estate businessman mogul in the areas of courage and conviction about what he believes and feels is right, and he doesn’t even have the theological training that I have,'” Cameron said.<\/p>\n

He added that even figures like Rogan demonstrate “character qualities that should be possessed in spades by Christian men around the country,” pointing to a growing sense of conviction among believers to step into the cultural conversation with clarity and faith.<\/p>\n

“I’m feeling the rumblings of courage and conviction underneath my feet,” he shared.<\/p>\n

Cameron, known for his commitment to family-centered faith initiatives, is preparing for his “See You at the Library”<\/a> event on August 16. This nationwide story hour is designed to “awaken hearts, ignite wonder, and plant seeds of faith through stories that matter.” The actor believes this event is a practical way for families to engage with the culture and stand for biblical values in their communities.<\/p>\n

“This is a window of opportunity for the family of faith to step up, to lean in and respond the right way to God’s kindness and His mercy,” Cameron said, encouraging parents to attend or host story hours in their local libraries.<\/p>\n

“It’s a chance for parents to win back the culture in the public square because the other side is advancing their values every single day,” Cameron said. “If we don’t lean in, if we don’t show up and stand up for our values now, we won’t have the freedom to live for them later.”<\/p>\n

Alongside this initiative, Cameron has launched “The Kirk Cameron Show” on YouTube, a long-time dream that allows him to engage freely with cultural and spiritual issues. The show, airing new episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, blends devotionals, Scripture, and candid conversations with his children on topics like purity, mental health, and current events.<\/p>\n

“On ‘The Kirk Cameron Show,’ the gloves are off,” Cameron said. “It’s unfiltered. I get to talk about the Diddy trial, Elon Musk, the Iran bombings, and everything in between.”<\/p>\n

As Cameron challenges Christians to embrace boldness and conviction in their faith, he believes this is a pivotal time for believers to step into the cultural moment with courage.<\/p>\n
