Some end times theorists and Christian evangelists believe they have found links between the Coronavirus and prophecies in the Book of Revelation.<\/p>\n

In the final chapters of the Bible, the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse are referenced. Each horseman is a harbinger of the death, destruction and disorder that will take place in the last days.<\/p>\n

Some interpret the significance of the four horsemen as events that have been ongoing since this prophecy was given, but will intensify before the rapture.<\/p>\n

Some theologians believe that the end times is already in motion due to the level of violence, immorality, and disorder in the world today.<\/p>\n

According to Jeremiah Jaques from the Philadelphia Church of God website, the Book of Revelation is about \u201cthings which shall be hereafter,\u201d Express News report.<\/p>\n

Jaques said, \u201cIn Revelation 6, John was inspired to write about the \u2018seven seals\u2019 that lead up to Second Coming of Christ.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first four are often called the \u2018Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,\u2019 Jaques said. \u201cThey represent religious deception, war, famine and disease \u2013 verses 1 to 8.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Apostle John described the Forth Horseman as \u2018death.\u2019 There are also interpretations and translations of the Bible, the Fourth Horseman is called \u2018pestilence\u2019 or \u2018plague.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a personification of disease epidemics \u2013 sickly, haunting and unyielding,\u201d Jaques said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe passage says that along with the other three riders, the anaemic-looking horseman that represents disease will slay \u2018the fourth part of the earth\u2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith today\u2019s population of 7.7 billion, that figure would come to almost 2 billion,\u201d he also added.<\/p>\n

The full passage he was referencing was Revelation 6:5-8.<\/p>\n

Revelation 6:5-8 says that in the final days, the world will be rocked by subsequent famines and plagues.<\/p>\n

Luke 21:11 also cautions us that there will be \u2018pestilences in various places and fearful events\u2019 in the final days.<\/p>\n

While we don\u2019t know if the \u2018pestilences\u2019 Jesus mentions refers directly to COVID-19, is it a warning? Is it an end times sign?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
