Justin Bieber took to social media to host a discussion about the Gospel on Instagram with Los Angeles megachurch pastor Rich Wilkerson.<\/p>\n

Bieber started off the conversation by asking \u201cWho is Jesus?\u201d \u201cWhat is the Gospel?\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilkerson responded by saying \u201cThe gospel is the good news, and the good news of Jesus is that\u2026all of us were born broken, we all have a desire for God, a hole in our soul … but Jesus came to fill the hole,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe believe that Jesus is God\u2019s Son, He came to this world in the form of a man, He lived a spotless and perfect life, and he became the atoning sacrifice; He paid the price for our sin.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two continued their discussion with heavy topics such as forgiveness, sin, and eternal life.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice, because of his death, we don\u2019t have to fear the wrath of God,\u201d Wilkerson said. \u201cHe didn\u2019t just die, He resurrected. And the fact that He resurrected means He\u2019s alive today. His spirit wants to live through us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bieber followed up by asking the pastor \u201cDo you think we need to Earn God\u2019s love?\u201d<\/p>\n

The pastor replied by saying \u201cThere\u2019s no way to earn it. You couldn\u2019t do enough goof things to be good enough, and you can\u2019t do enough bad things to be bad enough. Trust and believe in what he\u2019s done for us. He paid the price. We just simply believe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Justin wrapped up the conversation by offering a gospel invitation to all of those who were listening in on the discussion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe good news is that no matter who you are or what you\u2019ve done. No matter how bad you think you are or how messed up you think your life is, God is not afraid of your mess,\u201d Bieber shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants you to come with open arms and accept what he\u2019s done for you\u2026 It\u2019s as simple as just saying \u2018Jesus I accept what you did for me, I believe you are God, and I ask you to forgive me for my sins.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
