This pool of water is the representative of the feminine element. Think of the oceans, from which scientists believe life on Earth began; and of the waters of the womb that come rushing out at birth if you are not already familiar with how water and femininity correspond. Anyway, if you look hard enough I think you might find feminine aspect is neither hidden nor forgotten. The divine feminine is widely represented alongside male symbology.
