A longtime meditator who puzzles out his own conscious states, Tart has involved himself with the research and theory of hypnosis, psychology, transpersonal psychology, parapsychology, consciousness, and mindfulness since 1963. He has written more than a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paradigm-sys.com\/\" target=\"_new\">dozen books<\/a> and 250 articles, including lead pieces in the periodicals &#8220;Science&#8221; and &#8220;Nature.&#8221;<br \/>\nTart currently collects and posts online narratives of the spiritual experiences of <em>scientists<\/em> and those predisposed to be tangible-evidence-seeking skeptics, people not inclined to believe in the divine.
