I think sometimes I get more information on the news scroll at the bottom of the screen than I do from the news or entertainment program itself.<\/p>\n

Even on Entertainment Tonight<\/em>, which I usually blow past on the dial, I learned on one simple scroll that:<\/p>\n

1. Kirstie Alley<\/strong> has lost enough weight to hit the fashion runway …<\/p>\n

my reaction: my weight yo-yo’s more than hers does, WHERE are my money making opportunities from it?<\/p>\n

2. Conan O’Brien<\/strong> pilot ordered by TBS<\/em> …<\/p>\n

my reaction: good, that will give me a chance to see his work again.\u00a0 ZING! But seriously, I have not watched his late night show in months … and I like Conan.<\/p>\n

3. Kathie Lee Gifford<\/strong> to guest star on TV Land’s<\/em> Hot in Cleveland<\/em> …<\/p>\n

my reaction: ooh, so many directions to go with this one. I’ll say this: gives me ANOTHER reason not to watch it. I don’t dislike her so much anymore, but the fourth hour of Today<\/em> is a bit much … and so is all the drinking and talking on it.<\/p>\n

4. Bachelor Pad 2<\/em> Highest Rated Show Last Night …<\/p>\n

my reaction: are you kidding me? that shows just how poor TV is over the summer. If you think The Bachelor<\/em> is schlock programming you AIN’T seen nothing.<\/p>\n

5. Stay Tuned! …<\/p>\n

my reaction: ummm… no thanks.<\/p>\n
