{"id":879,"date":"2011-09-03T09:56:14","date_gmt":"2011-09-03T13:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/changingchannels\/?p=879"},"modified":"2011-09-03T12:55:33","modified_gmt":"2011-09-03T16:55:33","slug":"seeing-starz-in-a-good-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/changingchannels\/2011\/09\/seeing-starz-in-a-good-way.html","title":{"rendered":"Seeing &#8216;Starz&#8217; &#8230; In A Good Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was ticked when <strong>AT&amp;T U-Verse<\/strong> recently removed <strong>ESPN3D<\/strong> from its programming block.<\/p>\n<p>Oh &#8230; I was ticked and still am, in fact.<\/p>\n<p>That channel was the main reason I spent a few hundred more bucks to get a 3DTV, after all.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s reasoning was that there were not enough subscribers to the $10 per month channel. I still feel I should have had the choice, however, even for another $5.<\/p>\n<p>I really miss the channel now with the start of the college football season, when <strong>ESPN<\/strong> airs a few select games in 3D.<\/p>\n<p>But I have to move on, as I am not about to switch providers again &#8230; and make my poor wife dizzy with more channel changes.<\/p>\n<p>So, I&#8217;ll suck it up with AT&amp;T U-Verse for a while.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Toy Story 3D Trailer in 3D Anaglyph\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2wYyl3xxhkI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>They made the decision a little easier the last couple of days by adding <strong>STARZ 3D<\/strong> to its slate.<\/p>\n<p>There are only four movies available, including <em>The Christmas Carol<\/em> and <em>Toy Story 3.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I saw the former\u00a0 and it was terrific, and I look forward to viewing the latter as I heard it was the best of the trio.<\/p>\n<p>Like any customer though, I am NEVER satisfied, however.<\/p>\n<p>Get me more &#8220;free&#8221; 3D movies to watch and find a way to get 3D sports programming too.<\/p>\n<p>For now, though, I&#8217;ll just say this:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad STARZ is in my U-Verse.<\/p>\n<p>I might need to copyright that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>FOR A LOOK AT THE SPORTS OF THE DAY, VISIT: http:\/\/www.heapsgoodstuff.com\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was ticked when AT&amp;T U-Verse recently removed ESPN3D from its programming block.
