{"id":703,"date":"2011-08-08T10:06:23","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T14:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/changingchannels\/?p=703"},"modified":"2011-08-08T10:06:24","modified_gmt":"2011-08-08T14:06:24","slug":"u-verse-in-reverse-drops-espn-3d","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/changingchannels\/2011\/08\/u-verse-in-reverse-drops-espn-3d.html","title":{"rendered":"U-Verse In Reverse; Drops ESPN 3D"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am disappointed, to put it mildly.<\/p>\n<p>I purchased a 3DTV a few months ago with the hopes of watching movies and sports in a new dimension, literally.<\/p>\n<p>Come to find out, that U-Verse has dropped ESPN 3D from its package.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/248\/2011\/08\/3D-TV-display.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-709\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/248\/2011\/08\/3D-TV-display.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found out by flipping through the channels Sunday night with a message on the screen on Channel 1610, the now former ESPN 3D channel.<\/p>\n<p>I then searched around the Internet and found this statement from U-Verse:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re always listening to customers and working to make sure we&#8217;re delivering the channels they want, while keeping costs down. The price tag for ESPN 3D was too high, especially considering the low demand we&#8217;ve seen from customers.
