Bristol Palin<\/a> will be among the cast of this season’s edition of ABC’s <\/a>Dancing with the Stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/i>The daughter of former GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be hoofing it with the likes of Mike Sorrentino (aka “The Situation” on MTV’s Jersey Shore<\/i>), Audrina Patridge (MTV’s The Hills<\/i>) David Hasselhoff (Knight Rider<\/i>), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing<\/i>), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch<\/i>), Kyle Massey (That’s So Raven<\/i>) comedian Margaret Cho, former NBA star Rick Fox and former NFL star Kurt Warner. <\/p>\n

This isn’t Bristol’s first foray into television. Earlier this year, she did a small guest spot<\/a> on ABC Family’s Secret Life of the<\/i> American Teenager<\/i><\/a>, a dramatic series about an unwed teenager. <\/p>\n

So far, her TV choices make sense. Secret Life <\/i>gave her the opportunity to make some points about the challenges faced by teen mothers — something she, obviously, has some first-hand knowledge of.<\/p>\n

As for DWTS, <\/i>as reality competition shows go, it’s good-natured fun. It’s not The Amazing Race <\/i>(the gold standard in the genre) but it manages to be quite entertaining without being mean.  On TV these days that’s saying a lot.<\/p>\n
