There&#8217;s no indication that these guys see you as anything more  than a way to rake in money for their respective corporations.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Todd_Bridges\">Todd Bridges<\/a>, the former <em>Diff&#8217;rent Strokes<\/em> star who has successfully battled substance addiction, offered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3LEH8U2CLdk\">some good advice on <\/a><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3LEH8U2CLdk\">The View<\/a> <\/em>that involves staying away from\u00a0 enablers who don&#8217;t really care about you. Also, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aa.org\/?Media=PlayFlash\">Alcoholics Anonymous<\/a> works. Rely on a Higher Power that really does care about you. You&#8217;re not really a <em>&#8220;warlock.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\nBTW, Emilio&#8217;s new film (as actor\/writer\/director), the faith-themed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theway-themovie.com\/#\/Synopsis\"><em>The Way<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0 marks his third collaboration with his dad. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theway-themovie.com\/#\">View Trailer.<\/a> Let&#8217;s hope and pray Charlie finds his personal way to a better, healthier path.<br \/>\n<em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/big-love-finale-what-critics-169534\"><em>Big Love<\/em> ends its run on HBO.<\/a> <\/strong>The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints once issued a statement about the show (which focused on a polygamist family belonging to a fundamentalist Mormon sect) that read <em>&#8220;Big Love, like so much other television  programming, is essentially lazy and indulgent entertainment that does  nothing for our society and will never nourish great minds.&#8221; <\/em>I think that means they didn&#8217;t like it.<br \/>\nBut as one <em>Big Love<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/big-love-finale-what-critics-169534\"><strong><\/strong><\/a> ends it run on TV, the irreverent satire <em>The Book of Mormon<\/em> (from the creators of <em>South Park<\/em>) opens on Broadway.\u00a0 As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/news\/religion\/2011-03-18-Mormon_Broadway_17_ST_N.htm\">USA Today reports<\/a>, the play is actually receiving a good reception from some Mormons. It may, in fact, be funny and it&#8217;s good for all people (including Catholics) to be able to laugh at themselves.<br \/>\nStill, I think Mormons would appreciate a show about them that doesn&#8217;t portray them as either polygamists or spoof them as the world&#8217;s most-naive geeks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/strange-bedfellows-religious-groups-pornographers-denounce-new-porn-domain-xxx\/\"><strong>.XXX?<\/strong><\/a> The idea of an online red-light district has aroused (poor choice of words) the ire of both religious groups and pornographers.\u00a0 The former believes it legitimizes the content, the latter thinks it ghettoizes it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/insidetv.ew.com\/2011\/03\/19\/the-kennedys-discrimination\/\"><strong>Producer of <em>The Kennedys<\/em> speaks out.<\/strong><\/a> Joel Surnow (<em>24<\/em>) says History Channel&#8217;s dumping of his eight-hour miniseries on the nation&#8217;s most famous Catholic political family smacks of censorship. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/click\/stories\/1103\/2nd_miniseries_trailer_is_unreelzed.html\">View trailer.<\/a> The controversial film debuts Sunday, April 3rd on something called ReelzChannel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MGE3G5kfzps&amp;feature=player_embedded#at=35\">Bill Maher has yet another name for Sarah Palin.<\/a> <\/strong>As part of a joke (that also manages to involve Japan&#8217;s tsunami), he calls the former veep candidate a &#8220;dumb twat.&#8221; Twat, of course, is a vulgar term for part of a woman&#8217;s anatomy. A.) I&#8217;m not sure tsunami jokes are funny right now (<a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/gossip\/2011\/03\/gilbert-gottfried-fired-aflac-tsunami-jokes.html?cid=6a00d8341c630a53ef014e5fe16b48970c\">just ask Gilbert Gottfried<\/a>). B.) Adding the word &#8220;twat&#8221; to a joke, even for the apparently socially-acceptable reason of demeaning Palin,\u00a0 doesn&#8217;t make it funnier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On a positive note&#8230;<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2011\/SHOWBIZ\/celebrity.news.gossip\/03\/17\/bullock.japan.donation\/\">Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/american.redcross.org\/site\/Donation2?5052.donation=form1&amp;df_id=5052&amp;idb=0\">American Red Cross<\/a> for earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.
