What’s with the crass titles?<\/b> At least CBS’ $#*! My Dad Says<\/a> <\/i>bleeps
\nout the uncouth word but this season some television pilots are pushing
\nthe limits of taste still further. Disney-owned ABC, for example, has
\nboth <\/span>Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23<\/i><\/a> and Good Christian Bitches<\/a> –<\/i>
\ntwo titles that demean women, one of which snipes at Christians as
\nwell. BTW, try applying other group-centric adjectives to that second show name and
\nsee how many you think would get greenlit as “edgy”<\/i> pilots. The exercise may
\ngive you a pretty good idea of who’s on Hollywood’s
\nPC-protected list and who’s on its SH*!<\/i> list.

MOOZ-lum<\/i> explores Muslim experience in America.<\/a> <\/b>View trailer<\/a>.
\nI haven’t seen the film. It’s mission of differentiating practicing,
\npeaceful Muslims from terrorists is a good one. I do, however, hope
\nthat, while knocking down unfair and dangerous Islamic stereotypes, it
\nalso avoids perpetuating the equally-unfair and dangerous stereotype of
\nan America comprised of Islamophobic bigots. My view is that if movies
\nand television shows<\/a>
\nreally want to foster understanding, the best way to do that is to
\nhonestly deal with the issues while also portraying intelligent people of goodwill on both sides who get along and work toward peace. Good examples have positive power. Fighting one negative stereotype with another one is counterproductive. <\/p>\n

Iran objects to 2012 London Olympics logo.<\/b><\/a> The crazy government there frets that if you look at it a certain way you can see the word “ZION.” Give these obsessed guys a Rorschach test<\/a> and don’t be surprised if they see a map of Israel like 90% of the time.<\/p>\n
