Joy to GOP Congress.<\/b><\/a>  On her HLN show, Joy Behar said legislators who voted 240-185 to defund the scandal-plagued Planned Parenthood<\/a> are “evil, immoral and unethical. They’re also stupid.”<\/i>  Not exactly holding to President Obama’s call for civil discourse<\/a> with those with whom we disagree. Joy, of course, has a right to her opinion regarding public financing of the largest fetuscide provider in the nation<\/a>. The government, however, is broke so it makes sense that public spending on controversial organizations like Planned Parenthood is going to be among the first budget items to be aborted. If Joy believes in Planned Parenthood that much, she’s free to donate to it. All money doesn’t have to come from Uncle Sam. There are lots of deep pockets on the left. The bill, BTW, still faces stiff hurdles in the Senate. If it somehow survives there, a presidential veto seems likely.
 
On a related note, Abby Johnson<\/a>, the former Planned Parenthood clinic director turned pro-life activist and soon-to-be Catholic convert<\/a>, saw Unplanned<\/i><\/a>, her bestselling book<\/a> about her change of heart, become part of the congressional record last week when Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) read an excerpt from it as part of the legislative debate that preceded the House defunding vote. Johnson, BTW, will appear live on tomorrow night’s edition of EWTN’s The World Over<\/a> (8:00 ET) to talk about her book and her conversion. Memphis pastor praises The Grace Card<\/i><\/a>.<\/b> Fr. Maurice Nutt of Holy Names of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church says the dramatic film, about two Memphis cops at personal crossroads,“carries you on an emotional and spiritual journey<\/i> (and) assures us that no one is outside the boundaries of grace and forgiveness.”<\/i> The inspirational movie opens nationwide on Friday.
