Bill Maher believes Barack Obama is faking being a Christian.<\/b><\/a> The Real Time<\/i> host thinks the president’s secretly a secular humanist, basically suggesting he’s a liar. Personally, I believe the President Obama is a Christian. What I have trouble believing is that Bill Maher is a practicing comedian.   <\/p>\n

18th annual <\/b>Catholics in Media Award honorees announced.<\/b><\/a> Winners include the film Conviction<\/i><\/a>, starring Hilary Swank as the real-life Betty Ann Waters who put herself through law school so she could become an attorney and prove her brother innocent of a wrongful murder conviction. On the TV side, CBS’ Blue Bloods<\/i><\/a>, about a family of Irish-Catholic NYPD cops headed by Tom Selleck (as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan) will be honored, as will the CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful<\/i><\/a> for a storyline involving the plight of LA’s homeless. The awards event will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 20th. <\/p>\n

The Christian faith of Justin Bieber.<\/b> The teen superstar is quite open about it in the 3-D concert documentary “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”<\/i><\/a>  debuted in theaters over the weekend, grossing over $30 million<\/a> and placing a close second to the Adam Sandler-Jennifer Aniston romcom behind Just Go with It<\/i><\/a>.   
 
Where’s <\/b>Florence Nightingale?<\/b> <\/i>The excellent and inspirational historical drama<\/a> about the life of the celebrated British nurse (and Christian) known as “the Lady with the Lamp”<\/a> is a co-production of BBC and America’s Odyssey Networks and was watched by 4.7 million viewers when it debuted on BBC 1 on June 1st, 2008 — yet it has yet to find a U.S. distributor. It’s a shame because it’s a really good movie. <\/p>\n
