I guess Hillary has started her negative campaign. You know, if he nuanced this<\/a> a little and spoke about how precious life was, he may be able to pull away some pro-life voters if it’s a Rudy\/Obama race.
\nHere’s<\/a> what NOW said about his abortion voting record in Illinois:<\/p>\n

During Senator Obama\u2019s 2004 senate campaign, the Illinois NOW PAC did not recommend the endorsement of Obama for U.S. Senate because he refused to stand up for a woman\u2019s right to choose and repeatedly voted \u2018present\u2019 on important legislation.
\nAs a State Senator, Barack Obama voted \u2018present\u2019 on seven abortion bills, including a ban on ‘partial birth abortion,’ two parental notification laws and three ‘born alive’ bills. In each case, the right vote was clear, but Senator Obama chose political cover over standing and fighting for his convictions.
\n\u201cWhen we needed someone to take a stand, Senator Obama took a pass,\u201d said Grabenhofer. \u201cHe wasn\u2019t there for us then and we don\u2019t expect him to be now.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I wonder if Hillary is helping him in the primary as well as the general election here since there are pro-life Democrats who would like their party to support life more and there are some Christians who align with Democrats on a number of issues but have a problem with their pro-choice stand. This may turn out to be a plus for Obama (though I suspect he’ll also have to make some statement supporting a woman’s right to choose but if he nuanced it he might be able to do it in such a way as to still garner support from the pro-life voters).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
