I love ritual. It links me to my Source and helps me to turn inward, while simultaneously making needed outward changes. On holidays that have symbolic meaning, I particularly like to work\/play with creative ideas.\u00a0As we are approaching the celebration of the 4th of July in the U.S., <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0I decided to make two lists, one in which I declared independence from beliefs and actions and one in which I allowed freedom to hold certain rights inviolate.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0declare freedom from: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

fear <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

self imposed judgment <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

judgment of others <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

scarcity\/poverty consciousness <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

obsessive thought a.k.a. \u00a0\u2018stinkin’ thinkin\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

concern about what the ‘propriety police’ might think <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

micro managing anything <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

holding back my expressions of love and appreciation for fear of rejection <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

playing small <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

imposter syndrome<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

carrying the weight of the world<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“running around with my hair on fire”, to quote my friend Amy Storm<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

believing that I have to be all things to all people<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

co-dependence<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

toxic interactions<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

shoulda woulda coulda’s<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

unreasonable expectations<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

‘savior behavior’<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

‘being a Teflon coated pan’ from which love slides off<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the inner critic<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

clutter and chaos<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

excuses and justifications<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

desire to have the last word<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

belief that the way it has been is the way it always has to be<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I claim freedom to: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

ask for what I want and deserve<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

anticipate joyful, grace-filled outcomes <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

experience love in all aspects <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

accept easy financial flow <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

express from the heart, regardless of whether someone else can\/will accept the love <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

love the woman in the mirror wholeheartedly<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

lighten up physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

play big in the world<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

let my light shine<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

love with abandon without fear of being abandoned<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

be one of the cool kids<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

inspire others to live full out<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

dance my dreams to life<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

wink at the Goddess in the mirror<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

express my truth<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

do my creative work and have it well received<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

be in a healthy, mutually suppportive, deeply heart and soul satisfying, loving relationship <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

manna-fest miracles<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
