In the car today, which is where I sometimes do some of my best thinking, I\u00a0was considering why one of my intentions\/goals is to interview Oprah and Ellen (not just be interviewed BY them). I attempted to justify my desire by saying that they are self made (with support) women, that they built their careers from the ground up, that they are, in many ways, where I want to be- in a position to share love and encouragement for people to ‘live their best lives.’, because it would ‘look good on my resume’, because it would prove that my writing and I are worthy of it, because it would up level my game. And then it occurred to me that I get to want to do it, JUST BECAUSE! I don’t need to justify it. I don’t need for it to be ego-less. Throughout my life, I have\u00a0held back going for what I want, even as I encourage others to do so. There has been this subtle voice that speaks of unworthiness; haven’t worked hard enough, haven’t earned it, someone else is more worthy of having what they want….and yet, I know I have earned my chops in most of the areas in which I endeavor to succeed. And so I am learning that by having a greater willingness to ask for and receive in abundance what I have requested (knowing that I may not always have it my way), it gives permission for others as well.<\/p>\n
Do you really think that the God of your understanding would plant an idea within you, if it wasn’t possible to achieve. I’m convinced that it can’t be any other way.<\/p>\n
