As I am writing today’s entry, I am looking across the room at two bumper stickers given to me by my friend Rod a few years ago. One is simple and clean, green and white with the words ‘Manifesting Miracles’ <\/em>on it and the other is red and black, embellished with hearts around the edge and proclaims ‘Just Love’<\/em>. Both are potent reminders of how I endeavor to live my life. <\/font><\/p>\n

So, how would you define the word ‘miracle’? Would bells and whistles, lightning flashes across the sky fit the category? My favorite idea comes from A Course In Miracles, the intro setting the stage for that which follows:<\/font><\/p>\n


<\/font><\/p>\n

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/font> <\/p>\n

It views a miracle as a ‘shift in perception.’ In other words, how you see anything is how you see everything. That is also the title of a book that graces my book shelf in my counseling office. Written by Gail Van Kleeck, author and storyteller, it invites readers to look at the world around them through new eyes. How would your relationships change, your acceptance of the man or woman in the mirror be enhanced, your ability to be of greater service to the world strengthened if you embraced that idea? <\/font><\/p>\n

Just love…without judgment or prejudice. Accept with open mind and open heart, the people who present themselves to you, even if you totally take issue with their values or beliefs. What if you could see them in their innocence? I have seen hardened attitudes (mine included) soften when offered the opportunity to see through God’s eyes and love with God’s heart.<\/font><\/p>\n
