We are given a choice about what to do with that time. We can squander it by complaining about how hard life is or we can embrace it by celebrating even the tiniest wonders. Today, like every other day, I awoke in my bed, with a routine to follow, commitments to keep, a job to drive to, tasks to complete there,\u00a0creative ideas to indulge on top of the &#8216;normal people stuff&#8217;, like laundry, dishes, bills to pay, dinner to prepare, \u00a0floors to vaccuum, grocery shopping to do. I feel blessed when I consider that even in the midst of chores, I can express gratitude that I have a house that calls out for those things to be accomplished on any given day.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight was even more &#8216;special&#8217; since I was on a radio show, being interviewed by my friend The Comedian Medium Carole Tollen. She and I have known each other for at least 15 years in this lifetime and likely longer if we consider previous incarnations. Bantering, playful conversation about &#8216;life, the universe and everything&#8217;, flowed easily for two hours, with folks calling in to join the party, including my sister Jan and my friend Jewelee. It felt really joyous to have them on the line, since they enhance my life magically. One of the things Carole and I spoke about was my Bliss Mistress book and a chapter called S&#8217;mores in Heaven which was about the hospice journey my mother and I took in 2010 for the 6 months prior to her passing in November of that year. She had told me that she hoped they would serve that decadently delightful treat where she was headed. She has yet to tell me if it is so.<\/p>\n<p>After the interview, my son Adam encouraged me to come to the back patio where he had built a blaze in the firepit. He handed me a modified s&#8217;more, using two oatmeal cookies in place of the graham crackers. There we sat, musing about his grandmother, looking up at the stars and planets gazing down at us. I can still catch the scent of woodsmoke on my clothes and hair&#8230;sensual delight. See the thing is, Adam had no idea that we were talking about s&#8217;mores on the show;\u00a0 clearly cosmic coincidence, Spirit whispering in his ear.<\/p>\n<p>Writing this entry is another marvelous part of the day in which I have\u00a0spent my time, energy, heart and soul.
