His music reached out to me, as did his welcoming smile and open heart. I attended a morning workshop that had us chanting and balancing our chakras, being moved by the music. Barry’s latest release entitled Shine kept me company on the drive from Phoenix to Sedona and back again after the conference. Memorable and easily ‘sing-a-long-able’, the songs have such as enticing titles as: Love 444, Dance In The Stars, Sacred and my favorite called Om Shalom. Barry is a member of The Positive Music Association.

How do you live your bliss?

As I create music and am connected to creator during the process, I move into states of bliss that are embedded in the music, sound and vibration. Every time that I am performing a song and someone is touched I live my bliss.

When someone uses a musical piece I composed to assist them in getting to sleep I am living my bliss. As my work ripples out to the world and touches others I live my bliss…

Has music long fed your soul?

Yes…music has nourished my being since I was 2 years old. It has always been a language for to me to express myself on many levels…I call music the Universal Language of Love!

Many musicians tell me that their music writes them or plays them. Is that the same for you?

It varies for me. Sometimes songs come to me in dream state…sometimes I am writing lyrics out on napkins in a restaurant…Sometimes melodies come to me in the midst of conversations or an idea comes to me in a movie theatre.

It’s a combination of it playing me and me playing it…it’s what I call Divine Co- Collaborations.

It seems that your music spans different genres and reaches a variety of audiences. How do you bridge those worlds?

What I enjoy most is weaving different genres and influences to bridge audiences and take them on a journey to somewhere they have never been. As they embark into new musical territories it allows them to have an opening or a new experience. I create the bridge by weaving different elements (sounds, vibrations, frequencies and rhythm) and combine that with intentions that are embedded in the music for a specific purpose.

You call yourself a ‘Musitarian’ . What does that mean to you?

The word Musitarian came to me while meditating. I define it as someone who utilizes music to assist others in improving their quality of life.

How does music heal?

It really depends how you define healing…for me anytime a block can be released in the Physical, Mental, Emotional or Spiritual bodies the potential for healing can occur. Many times songs are like Ah Ha moments…Just like when your read a self help book. In that Ah Ha moment we are releasing a limited belief system that has been blocking us in some way. Music does that so beautifully because it allows us to journey from our mind to our hearts where healing occurs.

Can you relate any music miracles?

Sure…When I opened up for Dr Michael Beckwith at Celebrate your life in Chicago I was singing a song called There’s an Angel Watching You.The lyrics to the song are:

One white feather from the sky, there’s an angel watching you. I noticed a lady sitting in the front row was sobbing. I could tell she was having a very healing experience; she wasn’t even wiping her eyes and was just allowing her tears to cleanse her. She was dressed in beautiful Native American ceremonial clothing. After the lecture she came up to me and introduced herself…She said, “My Native American name is White Feather”! There are always miracles around us and we are constantly being guided.

It was just a reminder to me that White Feathers come in all shapes and sizes and are the angels way of letting us now we are not alone. There are a lot of other stories on my website http://www.barrygoldsteinmusic.com/testimonials.htm

Since the chakras are part of our energetic system and they resonate at certain frequencies, would it be accurate to say that we are finely tuned musical instruments?

Absolutely…look at the words that are embedded into our language that support that. E.g.: I really resonate with that or

She gave me really sound advice or our relationships are Harmonious. We are constantly fine-tuning our lives and our vibration changes on a daily basis.

How do your spiritual beliefs influence your music?

Its kind of the other way around…my music influences my spiritual beliefs. Music constantly teaches me that we can move beyond the boundaries that we create for our self. We are powerful beings that have the ability to create Divine Co-collaborations. Sri Chimnoy’s Quote on music says it all:

“God is the Supreme Musician.
