This experience harkens back a few years, but it is every bit as timely today as it was <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n then; a journal entry of sorts…<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n “I received an email from my friend Peter Moses a few weeks ago, as part of a <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n request to <\/font><\/font><\/font>forward a press release for a fundraiser for an organization we are both <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n part of, called <\/font><\/font><\/font>Rubye’s Kids that creates a holiday party and other gatherings <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n throughout the year <\/font><\/font><\/font>for inner city Philly kids.<\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/b><\/font><\/font><\/font>Emotional marshmallow that I am, I <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n cried when I read it:<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n “Thanks<\/b><\/font><\/font><\/font>, as always, for spreading the Love (your <\/font><\/font><\/font>real<\/i><\/font><\/font><\/font> fulltime job:)” and then it <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n occurred to me that there really is no more important job in the world than that. The<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n cool thing is, we all applied for it at birth and whether we know it or not, we are on <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n the payroll, and the job description might look something like this:<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n smiling at strangers<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n cleaning up after yourself (physically and emotionally), or at least not expecting <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n anyone else to clean up after you<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n offering a supportive ear, an open heart or shoulder to cry on<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n unconditional positive regard<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n seeing and honoring the highest in yourself and each other (the meaning of the <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n Sanskrit word ‘namaste’)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n l<\/font><\/font><\/font>istening with the ears of the heart (not second guessing what someone else will say <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n or <\/font><\/font><\/font>formulating your response)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n being both a generous giver and gracious receiver <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n allowing others to grow from their experiences without rescuing, fixing or saving<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n sharing the best of who you are<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n living with compassion, both toward yourself and others<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n being trustworthy and in integrity<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n finding ways to make someone’s day<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n being fully present with whoever is presented to you <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n offering hugs, knowing that they are heart to heart resuscitation<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font><\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n facing each day with wonder and anticipation <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n \n I’ve been authorized by the Boss (no, not Bruce Springsteen:)…you know <\/font><\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n the Big Boss to offer <\/font>you these bonuses that come along with the job:<\/font><\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/font> <\/p>\n Know that there is no where you can go, where love won’t follow<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n Adore the person in the mirror, who is really embodied love<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n Let yourself be fully seen<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n Unbridle your creativity, let it run free<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n Treasure your dreams<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
