This morning I was feeling sub-par on several levels.\u00a0 <\/span>I pulled an angel card (as I often do when I need a clear message from beyond this physical world) and received the message: \u201cAsk.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>In other words, I should ask for what I need.\u00a0 <\/span>They can\u2019t help me if I don\u2019t ask first.<\/p>\n I checked in with my body and realized I needed a massage.\u00a0 <\/span>Badly.\u00a0 <\/span>I hadn\u2019t had a professional massage in well over a year.\u00a0 <\/span>I think it was actually a year and a half.\u00a0 <\/span>Maybe more.\u00a0 <\/span>And in that time I had moved twice \u2013 including one 2000 mile move across the country – and had lived in five different homes.\u00a0 <\/span>Plus, in addition to everyday emotional stressers, I had amped up my physical activity.\u00a0 <\/span>I was walking up and down hills, weeding and doing landscaping work, waitressing, whatever I could find to pay my bills.<\/p>\n And, thankfully, my bills were getting paid.\u00a0 <\/span>Money for gas and food, however, was sometimes a bit harder to come by.\u00a0 <\/span>So money for a massage had always felt like a luxury and I kind of wrote it off as something I just couldn\u2019t afford.<\/p>\n Until today.\u00a0 <\/span>Today I realized how important it was for my health to receive the blessing of a massage.\u00a0 <\/span>So per my angel card, I asked.\u00a0 <\/span>I said to my angels and guides, \u201cI need a massage.\u00a0 <\/span>I really do.\u00a0 <\/span>Please send me an extra hundred dollars so I can get a massage and some contact lenses.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>(I hate to tell you how long I\u2019ve been wearing these disposable lenses.)<\/p>\n Then I went about my business.\u00a0 <\/span>I did dishes, I took a shower, I made some phone calls \u2013 including one to my landlady about the bathtub drain that wasn\u2019t working.\u00a0 <\/span>Even though she\u2019d sent some plumbers to fix both the drain and the pipes that were leaking bath water down to the first floor, it still was not working.\u00a0 <\/span>Well five minutes after that call, I received a text.\u00a0 <\/span>She was reducing my rent for the month by $100 due to the inconvenience.<\/p>\n I suddenly realized my request had been answered!!!!<\/i>\u00a0 <\/span>Not one hour had gone by and I had an extra $100.\u00a0 <\/span>Exactly.\u00a0 <\/span>I said \u201cThank you.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>With a big smile on my face, \u201cThank you!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n What a glorious reminder.\u00a0 <\/span>Ask.\u00a0 <\/span>Trust.\u00a0 <\/span>Receive.\u00a0 <\/span>Give thanks.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n (And yes, I did call to make an appointment.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This morning I was feeling sub-par on several levels.\u00a0 I pulled an angel card (as I often do when I need a clear message from beyond this physical world) and received the message: \u201cAsk.\u201d\u00a0 In other words, I should ask for what I need.\u00a0 They can\u2019t help me if I don\u2019t ask first.
