{"id":323,"date":"2013-09-03T02:52:55","date_gmt":"2013-09-03T02:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/blessingsabound\/?p=323"},"modified":"2013-09-03T02:53:52","modified_gmt":"2013-09-03T02:53:52","slug":"the-blessing-of-sunrise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/blessingsabound\/2013\/09\/the-blessing-of-sunrise.html","title":{"rendered":"The Blessing of Sunrise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I am so blessed to live at the foot of a sacred mountain.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>This mountain has been sacred to the Hopi, the Ute, the Dineh, and the Apache, to name a few.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I just found out yesterday that the names these people have for this mountain, although each a little different, mean basically The Shining One.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A couple mornings ago I felt called to go out before the sun rose over the mountain (something I wish I did every day, but up until now have done sporadically at best,) and I was filled with wonder to note that this morning the sun rose exactly over the middle of the mountain.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>It was like a great Eye of Light suddenly opened and beamed out upon me, the trees, the valley, and the rest of the world.
