In this new house which I am sharing with a roommate, I have two rooms to myself.\u00a0 <\/span>Each of them has one window.\u00a0 <\/span>They are perfectly fine rooms, but I am someone who craves light with a passion.\u00a0 <\/span>I like not only lots of windows, but views.\u00a0 <\/span>What\u2019s the point of living in a place of incredible beauty if I can\u2019t see it?\u00a0 <\/span>Therefore I told my roommate I would like to have a desk in the living room.\u00a0 <\/span>Fortunately she agreed and we made it so.<\/p>\n I am now sitting at an ample old wooden table backed up to the largest window in the living room.\u00a0 <\/span>It looks out over some desert grass, many pinon and juniper trees, a few mountain peaks, and a gorgeous ever-changing sky.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s a fabulous place to work.<\/p>\n From this window I see birds fluttering from one tree to the next.\u00a0 <\/span>I see butterflies wafting by on warm breezes.\u00a0 <\/span>I see hummingbirds zipping past.\u00a0 <\/span>I see a bench patiently awaiting a human occupant.\u00a0 <\/span>I see the grasses and the branches dancing with a breeze.\u00a0 <\/span>I feel bountifully blessed by this Room with a View.<\/p>\n If I must be inside, I like to maintain at least some connection with the outside world.\u00a0 <\/span>It could be a visual connection (looking out windows) or a feeling connection (breezes coming through windows or doors) or a sound or scent connection (hearing birds or smelling flowers through open windows.)<\/p>\n But perhaps it is even more important for me to get my body and spirit out the door.\u00a0 <\/span>Once outside, my views can be so much more vast.\u00a0 <\/span>And I can walk wherever I want to see a different view.\u00a0 <\/span>Being outside provides the ultimate views.<\/p>\n I am grateful for this world of Beauty.\u00a0 <\/span>I am grateful to live in a place of such Beauty.<\/p>\n May you be blessed with beautiful views both inside and outside.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In this new house which I am sharing with a roommate, I have two rooms to myself.\u00a0 Each of them has one window.\u00a0 They are perfectly fine rooms, but I am someone who craves light with a passion.\u00a0 I like not only lots of windows, but views.\u00a0 What\u2019s the point of living in a place…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":553,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[57,88,3,123,121,122],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-141","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-beauty","category-birdsong","category-blessings","category-mountains","category-outdoors","category-view"],"yoast_head":"\n
