{"id":113,"date":"2013-06-01T14:02:42","date_gmt":"2013-06-01T14:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/blessingsabound\/?p=113"},"modified":"2013-06-01T14:02:42","modified_gmt":"2013-06-01T14:02:42","slug":"the-sweetness-of-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/blessingsabound\/2013\/06\/the-sweetness-of-morning.html","title":{"rendered":"The Sweetness of Morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if !mso]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I love sleeping with the window open and letting the sounds and scents of nature tantalize my sleepy morning self.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The songbirds begin their chirping and singing long before the sun clears the horizon.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Their happy song is so full of joy.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>And I hear a woodpecker.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t know why I so love the staccato sound of the woodpecker\u2019s pecking, but I do.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>It is such a wonderful counterpoint to the birdsong.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>And I hear the cawing of a crow.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>A raucous and welcome addition to the morning chorus as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I gaze out into the green beauty of this Pennsylvania morn and I see a small squirrel leaping through the ever-growing grass. <span>\u00a0<\/span>I see a breeze stirring the leaves.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I smell something delightfully fragrant.\u00a0 Roses?\u00a0 Peonies?\u00a0 Phlox?\u00a0 I feel the damp dewiness of the air.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>All of it \u2013 the sights, the sounds, the scents \u2013 are so delicious.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>It is as if every living thing knows its part.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Everything has its special sound to add to the symphony, its special color to add to the tapestry, its special scent to add to the perfume of this June day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/\\DOCUME~1\\CINDYG~1\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\msohtml11\\clip_image002.jpg\" width=\"617\" height=\"462\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I am so grateful to be a part of this natural world.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I may not be singing or casting forth a special scent, but I know my grateful loving presence is a part of this world as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What do you bring to this world today?<span>\u00a0 <\/span>What song do you sing?<span>\u00a0 <\/span>What beauty do you radiate?<span>\u00a0 <\/span>What presence do you bring?<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">If any piece of this morning were missing, it would be a sadder affair.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>But all of it together brings such sweet magnificence.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Let\u2019s celebrate the Magnificence of Morning.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s celebrate the Beauty of this sweet World of which we are a blessed part.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love sleeping with the window open and letting the sounds and scents of nature tantalize my sleepy morning self.
