the tomb<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The heat of the sun,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Returning to remedy<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What was undone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The spices in hand,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ointment in jar<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Daybreak excursion<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">That didn\u2019t get far. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The guard was asleep<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The stone rolled away<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The body was gone,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What could they say?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Did someone steal in<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Under cover of night<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Purloin the body<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Vanish from sight?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was he moved by the gardener,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">As he cleaned up the mess?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The women would wonder<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In the midst of distress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The angel attendants<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Sat idly by, <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018Why are you weeping?\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was their instant reply. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Cruel question or pointless<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Why need they to ask?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018They have stolen his body,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And I can\u2019t do my task\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What kind of cruel villain<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Disturbs the dead,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was his death not enough<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was there no mortal dread?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Had all of Christ\u2019s miracles<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Led to this end,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">To a grave and a tomb,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And the loss of a friend?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Could the great Physician<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Not heal himself then<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Not avert disaster<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Not rise up again?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Jairus\u2019 daughter<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Nain widow\u2019s son,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Beloved Disciple<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">But what of the One?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who would come to his rescue,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who would champion his cause, <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who would touch his cold body,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who would unwrap the gauze?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No mortal dared enter<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was sacrilege done?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who stole their poor Jesus,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">God\u2019s only Son?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Not empty tomb or angels,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Could assuage such deep grief<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Or convince he was risen, <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Or provide soul relief.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No vision of the Master,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No delusion too grand,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Could overcome disaster,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Could meet their demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018They would see Jesus,\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He must call them by name,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No similar stranger<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Their hopes could reclaim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">But then in an instant, <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018Miriam\u2019 and she ran\u2026 <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And suddenly she was clinging<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">To the risen Son of Man.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018Go tell the disciples,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Go tell them it\u2019s so <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">God\u2019s yes to life,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Is louder than death\u2019s no!\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">So Miriam went proclaiming<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">So says the script<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The males maligned the preacher<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Women\u2019s \u2018fantasies\u2019 they quipped. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Empty tomb insufficient<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Angelic vision grand or gruff<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Even an ascended Jesus<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Wasn\u2019t resurrection enough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It was Jesus\u2019 appearances<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">To friend and to foe<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">That turned around history,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Showed it where to go. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The denier was restored<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The deserters were found<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The women who were grieving<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Were all turned around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And Saul the assaulter<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Stopped dead in his tracks,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Saw Jesus arisen<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And finally turned back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And James his own brother,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who had previously sneered (Jn. 7.5)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Began to believe<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Just because he appeared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No one witnessed Easter<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">At the dawn of that day,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">But they saw the result,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Meeting Him on the way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">On the road to Emmaus <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Or in mid-flight from the tomb<\/p>\n<p>Or hiding in darkness,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Or near Damascus\u2019 gloom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">They didn\u2019t find Jesus,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">No dreams calmed their fears<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What changed their whole lives<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Was when Jesus appeared. <span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The story\u2019s too improbable<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">NOT to be true,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And that is why Easter,<\/p>\n<div style=\"border-style: none none solid;border-color: -moz-use-text-color -moz-use-text-color windowtext;border-width: medium medium 1pt;padding: 0in 0in 1pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"border: medium none;padding: 0in\">Can
