One of our last stops on the Gullet boat tour was the impressive little town of Demre, also basically inaccessible except by water. This was another Greek fishing village, that has some fortifications from the Ottoman period, and more interestingly, ancient Lycian and Greek tombs, and the oldest olive trees in all of Turkey. <\/p>\n
