Whoops!\u00a0 Three-year-old Henry slipped on the wet pavement and plopped to the ground. Good thing Grandma was holding his hand.\u00a0 I pulled up as he went down and the landing was a soft one, doing no real damage.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how it is with the Lord.\u00a0 His children fall, but we aren\u2019t utterly cast down, because He is holding our hands. He is pulling up as we are going down.\u00a0One way He does that is by our conscience, prompting us to get up and do better.\u00a0 Another way is by friends who say, \u201cNever mind. You can do it. Try again.\u201d\u00a0 We aren\u2019t left broken on the pavement, but are given the tools to recover from a fall.<\/p>\n

As you work on getting your life under control and your weight down to a healthy level, you will blow it sometimes.\u00a0 But you don\u2019t have to stay down. The fact that God is holding your hand will cushion your fall.\u00a0 And here is a friend, telling you, \u201cYou\u2019re not hurt.\u00a0 So you fell and blew the plan today. Get up and get back to the right path. Eat right\u00a0 the rest of the day and go take an extra walk.\u201d<\/p>\n
