I was lost.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m famed for losing my way, even on the most familiar streets.\u00a0 On that day, though, I was in a strange neighborhood, trying to find a house where I was to deliver a meal to a family whose mom was undergoing chemo.<\/p>\n<p>I had been having such a good time, practicing the presence of Christ.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been writing about it in my morning blogs.\u00a0 I applied the idea to walking. \u00a0<a title=\"The best walking buddy\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/beyondgorgeous\/2011\/06\/the-best-walking-buddy.html\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to read about the best walking buddy.<\/a> Then it occurred to me that I could do the same thing while I was driving. I imagined Jesus sitting in my backseat, just out of my range of vision. I had been enjoying talking things over with the Lord &#8212; before I lost my way.<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly I smacked myself on the forehead.\u00a0 I had the Master of the Universe who knows the paths of the stars\u00a0 &#8212; sitting in my backseat!\u00a0 \u201cLord,\u201d I said.\u00a0 \u201cYou know exactly where I am and I think\u00a0 you care about the family getting this meal while it is hot.\u00a0 Would you please help me get there &#8212; because I don\u2019t have a clue how to do it myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I took the next right turn and in a few moments found myself on the elusive street &#8212; even in the right hundred block.\u00a0 In minutes I was at the door with the food in hand.<\/p>\n<p>The point of this slump-time blog?\u00a0 Well, I really wanted to tell you that story, which I thought was pretty cool.\u00a0 But it also applies to our need for direction and help when we hit our daily slump.\u00a0 He was faithful to me when I asked for help.\u00a0 He will be faithful to help you, too!<\/p>\n<p><em>Eating to live and living for Christ,<\/em><br \/>\nSusan Jordan Brown<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I inched along the unfamiliar street, looking from the GPS on my phone to the street signs, trying to figure out where I was.\u00a0 I sighed.\u00a0 It happened again.
