Ready, set — go! \u00a0Well, we’re almost ready to go. \u00a0On our daily walk, that is. \u00a0We talked in yesterday’s blog about deciding when <\/em>to walk. \u00a0If you just plan to do it “sometime” it most likely won’t happen. \u00a0You have to plan a time and prepare for it.<\/p>\n

And you need to figure out where<\/em> you are going to walk. \u00a0You might start walking around your neighborhood, if you are blessed to live in one that is safe.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you live near a park, that\u2019s a good option, too. \u00a0However, here in Oklahoma it’s summertime and the temperature hit 105 yesterday afternoon. \u00a0If you live in a place with our type of weather, you might want to find an indoor track or walk at the mall.<\/p>\n

What about treadmills? \u00a0I loved mine,\u00a0 but had to give it up because there is no room for it in the travel trailer where I live.\u00a0 I used mine daily and enjoyed it.\u00a0 If you will use it, a treadmill might be a worthwhile investment. \u00a0It’s not hard to find them inexpensively at garage sales or on Craig’s List. If you have a history of using your exercise equipment as an expensive clothes tree, though, better plan on saving your money and walking somewhere else.<\/p>\n

Again, you are unique.\u00a0 Find out what is best for your personality and lifestyle.\u00a0 Make it as easy on yourself and as pleasant as possible. \u00a0The easier it is, the more likely that daily exercise will become a part of your life.<\/p>\n
