Some people dream about success… while others wake up and work hard at it. — anonymous<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve read lots about visualizing success.\u00a0 Picture yourself as svelte and slim, the articles say, and you will become what you imagine.\u00a0 There is probably some truth to that. If you focus on your goal instead of on your plate, you are more likely to get there.<\/p>\n

But for every truth there is a companion truth.\u00a0 Not an untruth or falsehood, but an opposite fact that is also true.\u00a0 You might need to dream about successful weight loss — but you also have to wake up and actually do what it takes to get there.\u00a0 That means pushing away from the table and saying \u201cno thanks\u201d to dessert. It means getting up early to walk before work.\u00a0 It means foregoing the fudge making this holiday season.<\/p>\n

To get the body you want to have, you have to keep your goal and your dreams alive — but you also have to wake up and get to work!<\/p>\n
