Unless you’ve already voted by mail (the norm here in the Pacific Northwest), don’t forget that today is Election Day. Time to find out whether religious conservatives — especially the Tea Party<\/a> — will help secure a Republican majority in the House and Senate.<\/p>\n

As for religious progressives, leaders from the National Council of Churches and the global humanitarian agency Church World Service met with President Obama to thank him for health care reform <\/a>yesterday, “while also pressing him to take a strong stance on behalf of families facing poverty and hunger.”<\/p>\n
