The signage merely reflects Westboro Baptist&#8217;s general contention that God is punishing America for allowing homosexual behavior to&#8230; exist?)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/beliefbeat\/2010\/08\/another-hallowed-ground-vs-first-freedoms-debate-hate-group-church-can-protest-military-funerals.html\">noted here before that this tiny church is classified as a hate group<\/a>, with membership predominantly of Phelps&#8217; family members. Apparently, the church makes its money by provoking lawsuits that it then wins, citing freedom of speech.
