Ramadan, the holy Islamic month of daytime fasting and spiritual reflection, has ended with the usual Eid-al-Fitr festival fanfare<\/a> — plus some controversy at Rye’s Playland amusement park<\/a> (my old stomping grounds), confusion in Indonesia<\/a>, and\u00a0continued civil disobedience in Egypt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now American Muslims are preparing for the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, which is bound to kick up some Islamophobia — unless the backlash from the Norway massacre is still in effect?
