I feel that the Earth is the true ruler of Taurus as Taurus signifies the culmination of all that life on Earth has to offer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2407\/2444842891_51e0dda4c8.jpg?v=0\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px auto 10px;text-align: center;cursor: pointer;width: 320px\" src=\"https:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2407\/2444842891_51e0dda4c8.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size:130%\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ode to Gaia<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">I woke to soft mists over the river,<br \/>A chilled, liquid,  world where dew falls as rain<br \/>From the trees in muted musical notes<br \/>And  the air is faintly luminescent\u2026<br \/>A surreal place of contrasts and shadows<br \/>In pastel hues applied with a soft brush.<\/p>\n<p>I kneel beside last  night\u2019s campfire and brush<br \/>Away ash, which settles on the river\u2026<br \/>A fine,  white, snow swirling in dark shadows<br \/>Of mist and water\u2026a breeze brings more  rain,<br \/>Drops hissing on coals, red and luminescent<br \/>As birds announce the  sunrise with bright notes.<\/p>\n<p>Upon my pad, a monarch reads my notes.<br \/>Later in the day, I will hear the brush<br \/>Of its wings in my mind,  luminescent<br \/>Beats, which bubble in memory\u2019s river.<br \/>Another breeze and  more dew falls as rain,<br \/>Some glimmering pale gold in the shadows.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly, the mists flow into the shadows,<br \/>There to sleep \u2018till  crickets play the first notes<br \/>Of tomorrow\u2026dew is no longer rain,<br \/>Each  drop a glowing gem at the first brush<br \/>Of the sun, which also turns the river<br \/>Into gold, molten and luminescent.<\/p>\n<p>No better word would  do\u2026luminescent\u2026<br \/>Glittering light dances where once shadows<br \/>And mists  were pastels over the river\u2026<br \/>And the music! Nature\u2019s symphonic notes!<br \/>The birds, the river and the whisk-whisk brush<br \/>Of leaves form harmonies  as soft, warm rain.<\/p>\n<p>Sadness fills me and tears fall as rain.<br \/>These  days are fragile things, luminescent<br \/>Once-was-could be\u2019s\u2026for man chooses to  brush<br \/>Such beauty aside\u2026he prefers shadows,<br \/>His music consists of  discordant notes<br \/>Of waste which pollutes earth, air and river.<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful the river!
