What has gotten into our prezident? After six years of denying the global warming problem and passing bill after bill to decimate environmental protections, all of a sudden George W Bush has decided to create a new global framework for reducing carbon emissions. (Updated 6\/4: <\/span>Watch this hilarious video <\/a>lampooning Bush on global warming.)<\/p>\n

Back in March of 2001 Bush, who had promised during his campaign for president to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from power plants, reneged on that pledge and rejected proposed limits on emissions, justifying his turnaround on rising energy prices (this I believe was during the period of rolling blackouts in California which were later tied to the Enron debacle).<\/p>\n

But that’s not all: Jill cites<\/a> two different articles citing recent bizarre behavior from our already unpredictable president including this item from the Dallas News: “Friends of his from Texas were shocked recently to find him nearly wild-eyed, thumping himself on the chest three times while he repeated \u201cI am the president!\u201d He also made it clear he was setting Iraq up so his successor could not get out of \u201cour country\u2019s destiny.\u201d “<\/p>\n

You can read earlier articles on the astrology of George Bush here <\/a>and here<\/a>. But one interesting thing I noticed about Bush’s chart is transiting Uranus (sudden change and reckless behavior) making a square to his progressed Midheaven (public life). Transiting Uranus will square his natal Uranus next year and it is now close enough to begin rattling the cages in his inner world. But Uranus aspecting either the natal or progressed Midheaven is very visible in our public lives.<\/p>\n

Uranus first hit his progressed Midheaven (MC) in the third week of May but its influence would have been felt as early as April. As if that weren’t bad enough, Uranus is making a station (coming to a standstill as it prepares to turn retrograde) right on the degree of the progressed MC until late August.<\/p>\n

Uranus wants something new to take place, it is rarely satisfied with the status quo. Perhaps this will help to unwind some of Bush’s famous stubborn determination and help him to see a different perspective. We can only hope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
