Beliefnet is going to run a feature for Poetry Month and asked us to do a post on our favorite poem. \u00a0I wondered how I would be able to choose, and then remembered an old poem I wrote back in 1976 that I really love, so this is my poem for Poetry Month. \u00a0\u00a0

Praise Song<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Oh, glory to the stars that shine<\/div>\n
In everlasting splendor,<\/div>\n
their sparkling dust of joy to fall<\/div>\n
upon the blossoming heart, the tender rose<\/div>\n
that smiles here below the sky.<\/div>\n
Wisps of harmonies catch the strings within the spirit<\/div>\n
and dancing gently round them,<\/div>\n
bring them laughing into play, to sing<\/div>\n
love’s cosmic melody, its touch<\/div>\n
upon the lute within<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 begins to weave resounding<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 trails of voices singing,<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0ringing to the sky with joy<\/div>\n
the praises of this life.<\/div>\n
