Have you ever heard the saying \u201cif it bleeds, it leads?\u201d Imagine you pass by a newsstand and you see a newspaper that says \u201csunshine and warm weather this weekend\u201d, would you buy it?<br \/>\nBut, imagine you see another one says \u201cemergency weather service warnings for Saturday\u201d\u2026I bet you\u2019d pick up that one!<\/p>\n<p>The sad fact is, making you feel bad about yourself and the world we live in is a multi-billion dollar industry. The news, the fashion and makeup businesses, along with politics and even many churches are counting on you being dissatisfied with who you are and afraid of world you live in.<\/p>\n<p>Remember,<a title=\"Mastering the Law of Attraction; Or, creating what you *really* want! (VIDEO)\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/areasontosmile\/2011\/10\/mastering-the-law-of-attraction-or-creating-what-you-really-want-video.html\" target=\"_blank\"> the Law of Attraction is ALWAYS working<\/a>. If fear and crime is what you are focusing on, fear and crime is what will show up in your life. And, contrary to what you may have been told, in many significant ways the world is actually improving.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"All About You with B  Dave Walters Episode 4 2 Fear\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UYiXSVqEZSQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nA massive new study titled &#8220;The State of the World 2011&#8221; and published by an international think tank known as The Millennium Project recently laid out several ways life on Earth is advancing, and not just in the west. Life expectancies are up, education is up, world poverty is down, and crime in the US is down significantly since the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>Didn\u2019t hear about any of this? Of course not, good news doesn\u2019t sell papers!<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t control what other people say or do, but you can control what you focus on. There is nothing wrong with staying informed, but you don\u2019t have to be buried in bad news. Find positive things to direct your attention towards, positive stories and news you can feel good about. It may be hard to find on local TV, but the glory of the internet is that you can find exactly what you\u2019re looking for\u2026good or bad!<\/p>\n<p>One last thing: marketing guru Frank Kern talked about this very thing recently in his \u2018State of the Internet Address\u2019, and here is a paraphrase of what he ended with:<br \/>\n\u201cThe word hate has 184 mil search results\u2026. fear has 151 mil results \u2026. lot of people freaked out \u2026. would seem we could market on hate and fear &amp; ride the wave adopting that marketing bend but \u2026.. the word hope has 476 mil results\u2026. we don\u2019t see in the media how much people want and believe in hope\u2026. clearly people would much rather have hope\u2026 and the word love has 1 bil 830 mil results\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think?
