You have to trust *yourself* before you can forgive others!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

If you have been following this blog, then you have no doubt heard that you have to forgive the people in your life who have hurt you.
\nNo matter who it was, no matter what they’ve done: forgive them.<\/p>\n

The reason why this is, is as Buddha says: \u201cholding on to anger with the intent of hurting someone else, is like picking up a hot coal with the intention of throwing it: you are the one who gets burned.<\/p>\n

Above all else, realize that forgiving someone doesn’t mean you are saying what they did is OK (it’s not); forgiveness means you are giving up the negativity and anger you still harbor inside.
\nIt’s not a gift that you give them, it’s a gift you give YOU.<\/p>\n

Recently many people have asked HOW to forgive,\u00a0which we have talked about before; but there is enough to say about forgiveness that it could fill up hours of time!
