The Words<br \/>\nof the Dark Lady-<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"margin-right:.5in;line-height:200%\"><span>You who seek the mysteries of the Earth, the<br \/>\nsecrets of air and darkness, of blood and fire, the silence of the outer-most<br \/>\nstars, come unto me, and I shall whisper to you in the depths of midnight. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-right:.5in;line-height:200%\"><span>You shall approach Me in silence, and as a sign<br \/>\nthat you are free from fear, your throat shall bare to My blade, for fear has<br \/>\nno place in My mysteries, and the knowledge you seek will destroy you if there<br \/>\nis fear in your heart; so of you I demand the truth of all you are, and in<br \/>\nreturn I give all that you may be.<span>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-right:.5in;line-height:200%\"><span>For I am the dolmen arch beyond which stretches<br \/>\nthe mystery of the infinite. I am the fire that harrows the forest and quickens<br \/>\nthe sleeping seed.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>I am the<br \/>\nsilence before birth and beyond death. I am the mirror before which your soul<br \/>\nstands naked.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-right:.5in;line-height:200%\"><span>I am mist in the twilight, the sky of midnight,<br \/>\nand the shadows on the Moon. Invocation<br \/>\nof the God-<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Dread Lord of Shadows<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>God of Life and the<br \/>\nGiver of Life<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Yet is the knowledge of<br \/>\nThee the knowledge of death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Open safely, I pray<br \/>\nThee,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>The gates through which<br \/>\nall must pass<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>That our dear ones, who<br \/>\nhave gone before, <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>return this night to<br \/>\njoin us, if they will.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>And when our time comes,<br \/>\nas it must,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>O Thou, the Comforter<br \/>\nand Consoler,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>The Giver of Peace and<br \/>\nRest,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>we will enter Thy realms<br \/>\ngladly, and unafraid,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>for we know that when<br \/>\nrested and refreshed among our dear ones,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>We shall be reborn again<br \/>\nby the grace of the Great Mother.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Let it be at the same<br \/>\ntime and in the same place as our beloved ones,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>And let us meet and know<br \/>\nand remember and love them again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Descend we pray Thee,<br \/>\nupon Thy servant and priest, \u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad____.<b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>&#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>Listen to the words of the Dark God, he who of old was known among men<br \/>\nas<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-weight:normal\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>Thatanos, Iakchos, Donn, Anubis, Hades, Setesh, Herne, Hoder, &nbsp;and<br \/>\nby many<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-weight:normal\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>other names&#8230;<\/span><\/h1>\n<h1><span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span><b>XIII: The<br \/>\nWords of the Dark Lord-<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>I am the God who waits<br \/>\nin the dead of the year, in the dark of life, at the end of the lane where no<br \/>\nbirds sing.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>There you will come<br \/>\nagain to My hand.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Be not afraid to<br \/>\nlook upon My death&#8217;s head, for I have other faces and another hand to give<br \/>\nagain that which I take.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>And<br \/>\nmore.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Come gladly when I<br \/>\ncall!<span>&nbsp; <\/span>The Great Mother holds my<br \/>\npromise; and no evil shall harm you as you rest in My hand.<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>I am the<br \/>\nshadow in the bright day; I am the reminder of mortality at the<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>height of<br \/>\nlife. &nbsp;I am the never ending veil of Night where the star<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>goddess<br \/>\ndances. &nbsp;I am the death that must be so that life may continue;<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span>for behold,<br \/>\nlife is eternal because the living must die.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Remember that you<br \/>\ntrusted Me in the Spring-green child-places, finding enchantment; found Me<br \/>\nmerry in summer attendance when you wed; feared not to meet Me in the autumn<br \/>\nglow, the final harvest of life abundant. . . . So shrink not from Me now in<br \/>\nWinter&#8217;s dark.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>This is My<br \/>\ntime.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>But have you not seen the<br \/>\nreturn of life to the earth, safe from My keeping?<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Is not My lesson repeated with every year?<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Will I do less for you who love the<br \/>\nEarth, the Gods, and one another?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>I am the great Lord of<br \/>\nDeath who awaits you.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Have faith<br \/>\nin Life; and trust in Me.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>The love<br \/>\nwhich sustains all things, sustains the time of death as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Blow me a kiss when the<br \/>\nsky is dark, and I will smile, but no kiss returns; for my kiss is the final<br \/>\none on mortal flesh. As the great cycle of the year brings forth the time of My<br \/>\ndomain, take Me into your hearts, as I have always taken you into Mine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Come now, light your<br \/>\ncandles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span><b>XIV: Everyone comes<br \/>\nto the altar to light a votive or other candle<span>&nbsp; <\/span>around which pictures of their beloved dead have been<br \/>\nset.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>They invite their departed<br \/>\nloved ones to visit, if they will.<\/b><\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span><b>The<br \/>\nDark Lord goes to the West, and cuts an opening enabling the spirits invited to<br \/>\nenter.&nbsp; Members continue to send<br \/>\nout their invitations.&nbsp; <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span><b>SOMEONE:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:200%\"><span>Behold!
