I was asked to show our script for Samhain. I think it is appropriate as it gives a sense of what many Wiccans do tonight or tomorrow night. So below the fold I have reproduced our script.<\/p>\n

\nin the dead of the year, in the dark of life, at the end of the lane where no
\nbirds sing. <\/span>There you will come
\nagain to My hand. <\/span>Be not afraid to
\nlook upon My death’s head, for I have other faces and another hand to give
\nagain that which I take. <\/span>And
\nmore. <\/span>Come gladly when I
\ncall! <\/span>The Great Mother holds my
\npromise; and no evil shall harm you as you rest in My hand.<\/span>
\n<\/span>I am the
\nshadow in the bright day; I am the reminder of mortality at the<\/span>
\n<\/span>height of
\nlife. I am the never ending veil of Night where the star<\/span>
\n<\/span>goddess
\ndances. I am the death that must be so that life may continue;<\/span>

\nreturn of life to the earth, safe from My keeping? <\/span>Is not My lesson repeated with every year? <\/span>Will I do less for you who love the
\nEarth, the Gods, and one another?<\/span><\/p>\n
\nDeath who awaits you. <\/span>Have faith
\nin Life; and trust in Me. <\/span>The love
\nwhich sustains all things, sustains the time of death as well. <\/span><\/p>\n
\nsky is dark, and I will smile, but no kiss returns; for my kiss is the final
\none on mortal flesh. As the great cycle of the year brings forth the time of My
\ndomain, take Me into your hearts, as I have always taken you into Mine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nthe Summerland, the land of the Dead, where so many of our loved ones have gone
\nfor rest and renewal. <\/span>On this
\nnight we hold communion with them.
\n<\/span>As our circle is opened I call upon all of you to hold the image of your
\nloved ones in your hearts and minds,
\n<\/span>that we may reach out to them.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
